Interesting cause of bad steering in lady’s car: dead body…

Sunday, June 25th, 2006

Oh there are soooo many "woman driver" jokes I could have made here!

A young woman from Ecourse, MI was driving through Detroit at about 1AM on Friday morning when she noticed that something was wrong with the way her car was handling. The teenaged driver pulled over into a nearby service station, thinking that she had a flat tire, when it was discovered that the problem was indeed much worse – a dead body was wedged into the vehicle’s front suspension.

Apparently, the deceased was the victim of a prior hit-and-run, and had been left lying in the road when the second driver came along and snagged the corpse with the undercarriage of her vehicle. It’s estimated that she drove about two miles with the body dangling underneath before realizing that something was wrong. She will not be charged for any wrongdoing, and the perpetrator of the hit-and-run is being sought by police.

Robert Scoble (aka Scobleizer) comments on Gates

Saturday, June 17th, 2006

It seems the Big Man has lots of questions.

An interesting snippet from Robert Scoble, until recently working for Microsoft and best known for his site "Scobleizer", about his first hand impressions of Bill Gates over the two or three times he met Bill.

Its interesting to see a pattern of people who have met Bill Gates concluding that he has a very inquisitive mind….and fires off a gazillion questions at you like a machine gun.

You can read more at Scobleizer.

Light up your…..tap.

Friday, June 16th, 2006

Definitely qualifies for the "why didnt I think of it first" category!

 Tap light System

Enqua has a new LED tap system which does the simple, obvious and very useful: LED’s embedded in the tap detect the tempearture and light up the water stream red when its hot, blue when its cold, and purple when its somewhere in between.

I just wish I thought up these kind of things!

There is no denying it….this guy has some serious artistic talent….

Julian Beever is an English artist who’s famous for his art on the pavements of
various countries including USA , France, Germany, England, Australia and Belgium.

Beever gives his drawings an amazing 3D illusion. They just have to be seen to be believed…

Sidewalk Art

Hard to believe its 2 dimensional and on the same plane as his hand is. But wait until you see the rest….
